A lulav, a cowboy, and a wedding!

Fall is here, and we are sneaking in a bit more fun before the baby arrives.

This was the best photo I got on Cowboy Day at daycare.

Yesterday, we went to a wedding reception for our friends Ben and Lisa.  Solly had a blast playing in Ben's parent's yard and eating cake.

I'm getting sort of huge these days.  There are so few pictures of me this time around, it's sad...

Today we went to "Sandwiches in the Sukkah" at Chabad.  Solly got to shake the etrog and lulav!

And we wait.

Solly and Elon have a playdate

These two met when Solly was 6 weeks old (Elon was a whole 12 weeks).  Now they are really playing together!

Rest of Summer

Fall is definitely here! I thought it was time to finish posting the summer shots, especially before baby photos start pouring in.

It actually wasn't much of a summer around here.  Lots of rain and cold.  But that didn't stop us!  We went to the zoo a few times in the rain.

Solly is definitely not a baby, he's a kid!  He went to a fourth birthday party for his friend, Ryler, and sat with the big kids eating pizza and cake.  He is starting to get into birthdays, singing the song almost every day.

Playing "Pin the tail on the..."  whatever that thing is.

Bubbe came to visit when Peter was out of town to help me manage.  Solly had a great time with her!  He got to show off his chopstick skills!

Solly had a play date with Elon, and they can really PLAY together now.  Video to come.  Elon now sits at the table rather than the highchair, so they both ate their veggie dogs together at our dining room table.  Solly has given up his highchair since that day.

The high holidays were pretty mellow around here, but Solly really enjoyed it.  He especially loved going to temple to hear the shofar and eating apples with honey.  He even got to hold the Torah during the tot Kol Nidre service!

Last week we went to Pierce County "Touch a Truck" Day.  It was a little too loud for Solly so we didn't stay long, but he did get to drive a bus!  And reprogram a real policeman's computer!

Solly has been busy growing up.  He's really a joy to be around and we're looking forward to watching him continue to thrive.

Some Birthday Video

Amelia, future soccer star!

Solly has sung Happy Birthday to Solly countless times since then, but he doesn't seem so sure at the actual event.

Solly's Tacoma Party

We had a small party in the park to celebrate Solly's birthday once we got back to Tacoma.  It was the week after his birthday, but I don't think he minded celebrating again.  Grandma and Grandpa decided to come at the last minute.  Thank goodness, as we would not have been able to juggle it all ourselves.

Waiting for the guests to arrive.

We had a few friends come to Titlow Park--really just kids close to the same age as Solly.

Titlow was great for Toddlers.  A playground, a pool, a duck pond, the beach, even a train!

We fired up the grill and had some yummy BBQ.

The big hit of the party was a bag of balls I brought.  I love this age, they are so easy to please!

These next few photos are a study in little boys and little girls.

The main event--cake!

The kids are growing up so fast!  We have a bunch of photos of Solly and Leo, from when they were in our bellies to the present.  Here are the most recent.

GG's 90th Birthday Party!

Solly had a blast in Florida for GG's birthday the weekend of July 24. He got together with all of his cousins, and got to celebrate his birthday with family at a pizza place!

The first night we had a pre-party, complete with New York-style deli.

Hanging out with Uncle Andy.

Solly's favorite part was the hotel shuttle bus that took us all over Del Ray Beach.

For the first time, he sat independently with the big kids.  He looked so grown up!

The cousins had a blast swimming, despite the hurricane lurking just offshore.

And the lady of the hour (weekend), GG!

Friday night, we had a big party, with matching shirts!  It was Sasha's birthday, so we all got to celebrate together.

The next day was Solly's second birthday!  We had another party for him the next weekend at home, but he got to spend his birthday at a party with his cousins at a pizza place.  He had a great time, especially with the cupcakes.

Sadly, I didn't take any photos at the actual party for GG!  The rest of the family did, and we will pull them together at some point.

Happy Birthday, GG.  We love you!
