Snowstorm 2010!

We are still in the middle of a nice little snowstorm. So far, we've gotten 3-4 inches, plus some lovely hail! Now the wind is back. At least we got a chance to sneak out and have a little fun in between.

This Little Piggie

Fall 2010

It's hard to believe that Mira is already five weeks old!  She is really thriving, and has become a reasonably good little sleeper.  I took her to the doctor last week for a sniffle and she was already 10 pounds 14 ounces!  That was 40 ounces gained in 18 days!

My little lady bug!

My little fashion plate!

She's experienced a bunch of new things.  She helped me vote in the midterm election.

Went to her first scientific presentation.

Her first birthday party.

Her first look at snow.  She was fascinated!

Solly is a great big brother!  He's very protective and loving.

Practicing changing diapers on his baby sister doll.

Checking in on her.

Solly has been very helpful in general.  Helping Daddy go shopping.

Helping with feedings.

Helping make "Tummy Time" more fun!

Mira has been making some new friends, too!  Shiphrah and Ephraim.

Amelia came to visit this weekend with her parents.

Our little group of friends is getting bigger and bigger!

I took some more photos of the snowstorm today, but I will post those separately.

Nice light

It's snowing today, and the lighting is lovely in our living room.  I will post more photos later today, but I thought you'd enjoy these now!

First and Third Halloween!

Halloween is my favorite holiday.  This year was a little low key, for obvious reasons.  But it was also more fun since Solly can actually understand what it's about.  He was dressed up, of course, as a fireman!

There were a number of events this month that gave him opportunities to wear his costume.  (I didn't go to any, but Peter and Carol took photos for me and the blog).

Ephraim's fourth birthday party, a rocketship theme.

Kadriannah's second birthday, at the Tacoma Nature Center.

Mira had two costumes for the big day.  A ladybug (that got pooped on pretty early) and a lobster.

My "costume" was sort of last minute.

On the actual day, we went to the annual "Proctor Treats" event, where businesses in the Proctor District hand out candy.

First stop, the firehouse!  The fireman literally filled his pocket with candy!

In the above photo, you can see Solly's friend Grant, dressed as a cowboy.  We also saw Nigel the SCUBA diver, and the Petersens.

By the end we had two screaming kids but it was worth it!
